An evolved approach for the Diligent design system, based on our strategic & creative rationale.
Diligent helps clients focus on what matters most in a world full of noise. It’s how our clients gain the time and confidence to reach their goals. Gain unprecedented clarity into every level of governance, risk, compliance, audit and ESG practices so you can act with confidence and transform your organization.
With unprecedented clarity, we have a new lens through which to see the world. This direction builds from our current logo—and the dimensions revealed within it—creating a new, dynamic lens for our brand. Using the depth and shades of the logo to create emphasis and focus, this lens shows the eye where to focus just as Diligent shows leaders where to focus.
+ Show the signal in the noise
+ Keep it simple
+ Draw focus to what’s most essential
Introducing the new Diligent logo:
A symbol of our evolution
The evolution of the Diligent symbol and word mark alongside with the corresponding typography and colour palette. Our symbol is the lens. It consists of a D-shaped container and three angular shapes that create an upward-pointing aperture.
New and old logo comparison
Typography
Our primary typeface is Plus Jakarta Sans.
While it has many weights available for use, use no more than two contrasting weights in conjunction (e.g., Light and Medium, Light and Bold, or Regular and Bold). In the spirit of clarity, it is ideal to give this font family an extra amount of word spacing. When possible, adjust the word spacing to 140%.
Business cards
Whitepapers + slicks
The lens must always be rendered as an apex, meaning pointing up and fixed along the top rail of the composition. This helps ensure a sense of positive momentum as well as brand consistency.
Video frames
Using a red frame around video helps to establish our brand by creating a visual association with our signature color and distinctive Diligent lens.
Carefully curated stock photgraphy
Photography that is more sparse, allowing the space for subjects to seize the frame. That level of focus can come from colour or composition.
The brand team on a monthly basis carefully select stock photography from Getty Images. Which the Marketing team and designers can then pull from our Brand Centre for visual consistency across different campaigns and platforms.
Secondary colours
Our secondary colors were chosen to provide a distinctive color approach to information design. They are only to be used for charts, graphs, tables and other data visualizations.
The reassuring blue tones symbolize safety, while the warmer purples signal warning. The more intense the color, the stronger it represents its character. These vibrant colors bring the most urgent information to the top.
